Just tell them its for a 72 bug. It will be the right size and it will be 12 volt.

The Fairfield one is open Wink

Looked at the map on Napa online ya'll have a bunch down there sheesh

Funny thing was is I played and looked for a 74 Beetle, recognized the number as one from earlier today and noticed it was also for a Moosetang.

Hilarious how things just work well.. The same battery for a 35ish year stretch where room and mounting places are at a premium.

You can also get a red top optima, little pricy but it will not leak acid and can fit in the car on it's side etc. Think this is the best choice for any battery that is inside the car like a VW.

X3 on the optima. Worth the extra cost. They're awesome for trail rigs of any sort, you can even mount them upside down, so you can shoehorn them pretty much anywhere you can make room.

previous career..ran Optima batteries in emergency response vehicles(cop cars mostly)...their life span was about 6 months. never was impressed with'em. maybe it was just the extra load, light bars and all. But you'd think they'd last longer even in that application.

Oh and don't forget to check that clearance between your seat springs and those post, even with a type 42 battery....nothing ruins a cruise more than a hot seat.
