If those are the short torsions that don't stick out 4-5", I don't know the answer. If you're talking about the long torsions, then definitely not.

Are you talking an IRS car running short swingaxle torsions?

Thanks- we REALLY like that truck. '01 F350 short/crew/PSD with a 6" Donahoe lift, 35's, Bilsteins, and 106 gallons of fuel on board. Shocked

I won't be getting rid of it any time soon. Laughing

Well right now my car is swing axle but I'm going to irs in december. I'm gonna use the torsions I already have in my car.

You think it will work or no? if no on 33s, 31-10.50s should be okay right?

My bad- the rears are 33x10.50x15, and the fronts 30x9.50x15, also BFG Mud-Terrains.

JWH- I believe you can run up to about 31s without any lift or suspension mods AND the long torsions. Fender clearance will be the only issue there, IIRC. If your fenders are somewhat agressively trimmed, you should be ok.

Someone smarter than me may have conflicting info, but I believe that's what I've read online...

okay. Its not so much the width that bothers me, its diameter.
I have been looking at 33-9.50-15 bfg a/ts for it. but I may just end up w/ 31s because they're easier to come across.
As far as fenders go, mine are almost non existent, just small aluminum ones near the top.

In my experience you need either 3x3 arms with short swing axle torsions or a 3" body lift to run 33s. You really need a bus IRS with a 4:86 or 5:13 (3 or 5 rib) gear to turn them also.

eventually it'll get a bus trans, but right now a type I will have to suffice. I also plan on running 3x3s sometime in the future, but stock is gonna have to do for now.

i might end up with 31s, but who knows. i need to sell my truck first, then i'll get new tires for the baja.

Here's a few pics I took tonight- the car is actually OUT of the garage! It's even on the trailer, headed for BugZyla's Lair manana. I'm gettin' so antsy it's not even funny!
