Well, it's slow going but getting there.

Get her sanded for the most part and prepped for paint.

Here are pics from start to present, MORE TO COME!

Here is a VERY VERY ROUGH idea of what the paint will look like, i can't emphasize the roughness of this sketch, it took me about 2min in Photoshop so bear with me here, it's just to get the idea accross Wink

UPDATE

THANK YOU MR. BAJAWARRIOR (Scott) for helping me install my "new" front end Cool

And there you have it, mounted and ready to, uh well... it's getting there lol.

now it needs some headlight mounts, paint, and some metal to cover the rust up under the hood. Cool

going to bondo the right front 1/4 panel where the previous owner decided to half a** it, which resulted in his bondo job cracking thus cracking the paint, as for the rust: Grind out, Cut, Weld, Smooth, Paint over, DONE. Cool

i have some sleepless nights ahead of me to get this thing done before Bug Infestation IV Shocked

Nice job on the gas tank and fiberglass fabrication. That's very similar to what I want to do with the gas tank on my project.
I'm curious to see how you connect and seal the fuel filler neck to a fuel cap Question ...

We're going to take the orginal fuel filler from the front end we cut off, and mount it to the end of the hose whitch will be mounted to a bracket under the hood, the hood already has a fuel hole cut in it so all i have to do is reach through. nothing is welded to the car, Scott designed all the mounts for the hood/gas tank to be bolt-on so they could be removed later on if needed Cool the gas tank is sitting on a metal lip which has the orginal mounting tabs bolted to it, so it sits like it was factory installed.

UPDATE!

paint should begin tomorrow. doors will be done, we shoot the black on friday hopefully.

Here's a photoshop of what it will look like, after 9000 photoshops trying to figure out what i wanted my paint to look like i've finally decided on this scheme:

Sun visor and rear cowl will be white as well.
