Saturday is a TRAL project day installing pipe fencing at the Propocito staging area for the Rolls. Afterwards there will be a potluck lunch and trail ride.

The next work day is scheduled for Saturday, February 13th starting at 9:00AM.

We will be setting about 25 vertical posts in concrete and may start welding on some of the top rails. If you plan to participate in the work, wear appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear for shoveling out the pre-drilled holes, handling heavy pipes and mixing/pouring bags of premixed concrete.

We will have a pot luck lunch after the work is completed sometime around noon. Barbecue grills will be available so bring whatever meats you want to cook for yourself and family and bring a side dish to share.

Bring your OHV along if you'd like to go for a ride after lunch.

From the Beeline Highway (87), take the Bush Highway exit toward Saguaro Lake. The Pobrecito paved parking area is about 2.5 miles from the Beeline/Bush intersection and will be on your left. The OHV parking is the dirt area behind the paved area.

Coming up the Bush Highway or Usery Pass, continue on the Bush highway toward Saguaro Lake. The Pobrecito paved parking area is about 7 miles from the Bush/Usery intersection and will be on your right. The OHV parking is the dirt area behind the paved area.

We had a work day at Pobrecito scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday Feb. 13th and due to a number of factors we are going to postpone it to a date to be determined.

We had pre-drilled a bunch of holes to set the posts in and the recent storms have filled them in so they need to be redone. Also, possibly due to the 3 day weekend for many, the response rate for people coming out was very low.

Re-drilling the holes will only take a couple of people so we are going to try to go get that done during the week next week. We will then schedule another bigger group work day to set the posts and work on the top rails.

If you have friends who were planning to come out and are not on the distribution list, please let them know.
