Post subject: Parking Brake Question

I'm trying to get my parking brake hooked up. The cables that actuates the parking brakes don't line up right. I think the backing plates are on the wrong side. Is the supposed to pull the arm from front to rear or rear to front? Right now the arm inside my brakes pulls from the front to the rear, moving the forward brake shoe.
Thanks,
Richard

Cables attach to the front of the backing plate. (between tire and body)

Thanks. So all I have to do is unbolt the backing plates and swap them over.
I want to have the brakes and suspension freshened up before I put an engine in.

I finally got around to swaping over the backing plates last night. I found out that I have two passenger side backing plates and 3 parking brake clips. I also figured out that my parking brake lever is no good. It doesn't lock in place. So, this weekend I'm going to be shoping around for another backing plate and a parking brake lever.
