Alright! Abandoned vehicles finally came thru with the transfer of ownership paper I needed! Now I get to go title the beast and get it registered today after work... I love when a plan comes together. Does anyone have any 7.00x15 bias ply tires? I bought a set for a song but 2 are losing air, can anyone help? Don't have to be perfect but usable. Thanks!

ok, well i have a dismantle title now, apparently this car was totalled somehow (likely the damage to the side) and now that i can finish the work i was doing and get it driving, i have to have a level 3 inspection... anyone had one lately? do they just check lights, horn, seatbelts, etc? Any info will be greatly appreciated, i just want to have my duckys in a row when i go.. Thanks gents!

Did one in April they check all the numbers, they make sure you have $50 cash like 3 times. They ask what was wrong with the car and give it a visual as far as lights and horns they never turned them on or tried the horn, seat belts a yes. Make sure you have receipts for parts that you needed for the repair of the damage if any. But the inspector really didn't look at mine. You need to set an appointment DMV sets time and day for you you can't choose your time and they start setting appointments on Thursday at 7:30 am for the next week I sagest calling Wed just make sure. It was more of a walk around inspection. Have any more question feel free to ask it was more stress than it needs to be and just plan a hole day and call early and you should get a Monday time. hope this helps

So, made some progress, emptied out the parts and debris from the trunk and pressure washed it out(what a difference!) got my nose piece fitted nice and installed nutzerts, got my headlight wiring all soldered and secured, headlights mounted, fenders trimmed and bolted up, and today going to empty out the interior and drag it up to the car wash and hose out the 20 plus years of dust dirt and who knows what else, then going to make battery cables and get the electrical working... Hopefully have it running this week. and just a side note.. the battery I took out of the car for a core was purchased in June of 1976.. gives you an idea of how long she has been sitting. Poor lil feller.

No, actually. But that is a great idea, I had a crackin one of my Burby wheels and was gonna tube that but was told it would generate too much heat, but those are radials, since these are bias ply it might just work, good call Pritts! I have another update for you'se guys.. I got all the grinding done on the rear, repaired the burned engine harness, installed the external.voltage regulator for the alternator, got the park brake connected, bolted up the axles, shift rod installed, throttle cable, clutch cable, headlights working, wipers working, she starts and runs with the key, charging system is working, so now I have to get the brakes working and the tires sorted.. after that the rear lighting, then off for the level 3. Then all the fun stuff can begin! Anyone have brake parts for sale? I have a new master, will likely need wheel.cylinders and linings... Let me know please!

Ok, so ran into my first few speedbumps... My trans pops out of reverse, and my fuel line is restricted. Now the reverse I can deal with until the budget allows, but I have to run a new fuel line, now in my racecar I ran a half inch due to the alcohol, but here I really have no intentions of turbo, or alcohol, so gonna go with the stock size. How are you guys in the same boat running your new fuel line? I'm likely going to just run it thru the bulkhead and thru the passenger compartment and out under the back seat... Just wanted to see if any one has a more creative solution... Thanks!

Most peple run it alongside the tunnel inside the car. Not the safest idea but it is quick. Getting it through the tunnel requires a witness hole in the tunnel below the shifter. You can see where it is wleded at the rear of the pan by the shift coupler. It also passes through a bracket at the pedal assembly. You might need a hole there. www.metricmetal.com has metric tubing.

Quick is ok but I'm not one to shy away from a challenge.. I'd prefer it be in the tunnel anyways.. thanks for the source on the tubing. I will let you know how it goes.. thank you sah!!

Bugzilla did a new fuel lin in my car. I have also done a new shifter tube and a new clutch cable tube over the years. You might as well do it all at one time. If your going to be inside the tunnel any way.

2nd go with a 3/8 or 1/2 fuel line. If your going to do the work then do it once and this should save you some extra work 5, 10, 15 years from now as you planed for it from the start.
