Every little bit. Smile

So is it going to make an appearance at the play day?

Adjusted the rear lift gate again to stop the stinky exhaust leak. Smells much better now. Drove to work, was nice.

Lost a few days/weeks we had a Death and then a vaction. I'm running out of time. So if I get the Baja back this week, I still need to wire the front half of the car and do a few other things to get it road ready again.

It should be ready for next year Smile

Ran new power wires, relocated the battery, rerouted the fuel lines thru the new fIlter, finished all new hard and braided flex lines for the brakes, 2 new wheel cylinders, line lock and bias valve, vinyl sun roof cover and mounted all new shocks. Still need to get the brakes bled correctly, get latching mechanisms mounted in the doors, install the new harness's and tab the chassis and install a new full skid plate.I'm glad I've got sick days at work lol.

Fixed wheel leak on the grey car, drove it to work and all is good. Fixed leaking pushrod tube, blead the brakes, and installed a windsheild on the other car, just a few more small things and we should be good to go with 2 bajas for the playday.

Dismantling the new exhaust to put new gaskets on as well as new manifold boots and a power pulley. Did I mention that BAP belts suck? Going to connect up my Heat Riser tubes and hope I have gaskets, otherwise another trip to the parts store.

Discovered a weak solder joint and need to route some wiring so it's not so close to the exhaust system. I also need to look at my Ball Joints and make sure they're tight.

I don't see any movement, but I know something isn't right. I'll drive it till it breaks and then go from there.

I think the parts combo I'm using never was meant to be used together because it all fits way tighter together than I'd like and was a pain to assemble.

Much quieter now and hopefully on cold days the riser tubes will keep the carb flowing.

ETA - Drove to Sun City and Back. Oil pressure is still a little too low, so I'll be doing an oil change and going thick. Also kept smelling something HOT and when I got home I was looking around and touched the resistor for the windsheild wiper motor and OUCH! Friggen hot. Don't know why and don't know if it even still works, so I just cut the wire for now and will worry about it when we expect rain.

Adjusted Drivers Side Upper Ball joint, was slightly loose enough to allow it to turn out of adjustment, so I just eyeballed it to look like the other side and tightened it down.

Rewelded the clutch cable tube that was broken loose in the tunnel, (Previous Flux weld broke when I tugged on it. BTW I think that's why it had the cutout in the tunnel to access it.

Wired in my Amp Meter.

Started installing a Garage sale cb. Works, at least using my antenna on my 4x4 and I can hear people. So many people messing around, I couldn't get a Break. I'll get it wired and mounted, then figure out an antenna.

Changed my Throttle return spring bracket to put more preloaded spring pressure on it to bring the idle all the way down.

Found 20w-50 Valvoline Racing oil at autozone for $5.99/qt and will do an oil change just before the event.

Once that is welded and solid...Weld a plate, at least as thick as the tunnel wall on over the hole. And weld it SOLID, not just tacks. Ask GhostRider about what happens to a Baja (even mostly street) with a hole in the side of the tunnel from a clutch cable tube repair.

Went to Gordon's Wells yesterday for a shake down/maiden voyage to the sand!

She did pretty good, better than expected actually. I have the alt stand baffle in backwards, so I was expecting the oil leak that developed, & I think I over compressed my R/R shock, it's puking oil all over the trailer now (Time for some bump stops) but aside from that, she ran great & buzzed through the dunes quite well. We drove all the way to Ogilby, got back on the highway & shot over to Patton Valley, then up & down sand highway a few times, playing around in the smaller dunes some.

We're gonna head back out in two weeks for the weekend, so I've got some kinks to iron out & few fixes, but nothing major.

Figured out we have an oil leak behind the flywheel on "willy style" so gotta pull the motor, gonna install a set of solid mounts while we have it out, which will give us a place to mount the lower tubes of the rear bumper. Still have to get the brakes right too.
