What does this light mean?

The little light to the right of the turn signal light on a stock 64 speedo?
Came on after 10 minutes of driving and when I shut of the bug and when I turned it back on less then 5 minutes later it was off.

Oil pressure. Make sure you find out why it came on! How's the level, got any bad leaks, etc.?

If they are hooked up correctly, the green is alternator/generator, and the red is oil PSI.

I checked the oil and it all seemed ok, is there a change when I have an external oil cooler on where the oil level needs to be on the dipstick? And it was a green light, I don't know where the red light would be, I'll post up a pic later.

And I fixed the major leak from the valve cover last week

The oil level in the crank case should be the same with or without a cooler/external filter, up to the second line is full. It just may take more oil to fill it to that point. If its a green light then it should be the charging light. Its usually the one on the right side of the turn signal indicator. The light on the left of it should be the red oil indicator, if its not hooked up that should be your next priority before even driving your car. It could save you a motor. Check to see if the light comes on when you turn the ignition on before you start it, and then it should go off once started.

Nothing comes on when the key is in run but the engine is not on
