A month ago I came into possession of a 5-1600 build. The foundation was created in Gilbert by James at FABINC.

I will try to update monthly.[u]

No they are not Thing drums. However, new SCORE rules allow disk brakes all the way around.

I am looking for a set of Thing drums/baking plates though. Can't afford disk brakes, but Thing brakes will work for what I want to do.

Do you have an inside line on some?

Did a little work on the hood. I think the results are pretty good.

Front suspension is next.

I had no idea the history of this car. I hope to do it justice. I have several ideas that will come into play as the car gets closer to completion. I cam currently working on the dash and gauges this weekend. Hopefully I will have a few more pics of the pedal assembly and dash.

Thanks for all the positive remarks from the group.

Took some time this weekend to start the wiring of the car. New dash was the first requirement.

[img][/img]

Time to fill the empty space

[img][/img]

Use the new dash and some cardboard for a template.

[img][/img]

Create template and trace onto the white protective film that comes on the dash.

[img][/img]

Used a hole saw to cut what shapes I needed and a dremel tool to touch it up. VDO only gives a few mm for error. Measure twice, cut once.

[img][/img]

Finished dash with all new gauges and SunPro Monster tach.
[b]

[img][/img]

New dash fits great. Take a lot of time to measure and remeasure. I cut 4 templates before I transferred it to the actual dash.[u]
